Mother of Africa Chapel, The National Shrine, Washington, D.C.

This memorial was commissioned by the National Association fo Catholic Bishops, of Baltimore, MD It features and 8' Black Madonna and Jesus and a bas-relief fo the history of African Americans and the Catholic Church.

It is the first Chapel in the National Shrine dedicated to African Americans. It was installed in 1997.
