INQUIRE ABOUT SPECIAL "DORMAN" HISTORICAL TOUR PACKAGE.

This powerful one-of-one masterpiece is the most complex and ambitious sculpture Ed has ever created. It depicts the death of Isaiah Dorman, a former slave, Union Army veteran, and interpreter for General Custer—killed in the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876. The only Black man to die in that battle, Dorman’s bravery has long been overlooked by history.

In stunning detail, Ed captures the moment of chaos and courage—warriors charging, weapons clashing, Dorman making his final stand. From the strewn objects on the ground to the motion of every figure, this work is an emotional tour de force. This work is finest example of Ed's Western series and will never be replicated again.

A crown jewel in the Black Frontier Spirit series, this singular gallery piece is unmatched in scale, storytelling, and collectible importance.
